The 2022 residential workshop is designed for visual artists who have an established studio practice. Participation is limited to a maximum of ten individuals accepted on a rolling basis, based on experience, images, and stated interest.
No application is required for the online workshops.
To apply for the residential workshop, please complete and submit the application form below. Review of applications is ongoing until April 1, 2022, but up to ten artists may be accepted well before then. A waiting list will be maintained.
The residential session includes four full days of field excursions, tutorials, basic materials, lunches, four group dinners, and five nights of lodging. Arrival is on Thursday late afternoon with a group evening meal, departure is on Tuesday morning. Lodging is available at the Chaco Lodge workshop site and in a shared apartment at a nearby bed and breakfast. Room requests are granted on a first-come basis. Participants are responsible for their own transportation.
Price includes workshop, basic materials, daily lunches, four shared dinners, and five nights of on-site lodging at the Chaco Lodge in a large private suite with a king bed, kitchenette, and bathroom. If you are sharing the room, and both people are taking the workshop, the rate is $3150 for two people.

If you are sharing the room, and both people are taking the workshop, the rate is $2950 for two people. Please be aware that daytime workshop activities will be held in the living room and kitchen.
This includes five nights of lodging in a shared apartment at the Sueños Encantados B&B. While spacious, the sleeping quarters are not guaranteed to be private (you may be sharing a room with another artist of the same gender), and have shared bath, living area, and full kitchen. Price includes workshop, basic materials, lunches, and four dinners. The B&B is ten miles from the workshop site, an easy drive that includes about 2.5 miles of maintained dirt road.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Workshop. Cuba, NM is located 90 miles north of the Albuquerque airport.
