The Terrain: Canyon

These represent some of the sites where we will set up field studios, gather natural pigments, sketch, walk, and take photographs. 

Very typically, we will be the only people present. 

Our field excursions vary each year, as we find new locations to explore.

Plant life is abundant, from juniper, piñon, and pine, to blooming cacti and wildflowers. Lichens, seeds and grasses abound.

We walk the landscape, work independently and come together to share insights and reflections on drawing process. Workshops are space for experimentation, openness, conceptual and material play.
